Hello everyone! :D Going back to the mid-1990s, and as the airline industry continued to expand to its limits under a deregulated market, it became increasingly inevitable that a large-scale consolidation of two major carriers would be undertaken at some point during the decade, leading unexpectedly to the proposed amalgamation of Britain's flag carrier, British Airways, and one of the main firms of the United States, American Airlines, during 1996, a scheme that appeared to be doomed from the start due to political wrangling and the interference of rival airlines.
